The Rivers
Clearwater River: Steelhead fishing trips take place from Lewiston to
Orofino. Your typical Steelhead fishing day begins at 7:00 am and ends at
4:00 pm. Salmon fishing usually begins at day break and also ends at 4:00
pm.
Columbia River: Salmon fishing can take place in a variety of places:
Bonneville dam, John Day dam, Mc Nary dam, Ringold or Vernita Bridge. Your
typical Columbia River king salmon day begins at day break and ends around
4:00 pm. All fishing is done by jet boat.
Snake River: Fishing trips usually depart from Heller Bar in Hells Canyon.
From there we can take you up or down the river to hit the hot spots. In
addition to excellent fishing the Snake River is a very majestic place. It
is home to huge oversize sturgeon, steelhead, salmon, smallmouth bass and
rainbow trout. Hells Canyon is also a home to big horn sheep, mule deer
and elk which can be seen grazing on the mountains. Snake River jet boat
trips are a lifetime memory.
Grande Ronde:
We fish for Smallmouth Bass and Trout from Boggan’s Oasis to Heller Bar.
Reel Time offers one day or overnight trips. The Grande Ronde is a
very remote limited access river. Fishing and scenery are
unbelievable. This is a great trip for fly fishing or spin cast we have
a 17 foot willey’s guide model drift boat to guide you to the remote hot
spots.

FISHING REPORT JANUARY 9, 2010
With 2010 around the corner at this point in the year I always wonder what is in store for Reel Time Fishing in 2010. There are so many variables in the life cycle of a fish you wonder how the fish ever make it back. Well they have lots of heart and we are all thankful for that. January, February and March look very promising on the Clearwater. Why? This year we have had a lack of water in the Clearwater and that has made the fish hesitant to enter the river in big numbers. In the next few weeks Dworshak dam will start releasing water to make room for upcoming spring run off the Clearwater will get the water it needs and the fish that have been holding and waiting will enter the river. For the first time I am going to send a video clip along with this email it will come in two parts and two emails let me know if you like it.
What did the steelhead ask santa for Christmas?
