FISHING SEASON IN THE BANANA
BELT
OUR AREA
Reel Time Fish is located in Clarkston, Washington.
We have access to the Snake River and the Clearwater River on our fishing
adventures. We are located 2 hours south of Spokane, WA, 6-7 hours
southeast of Seattle, WA, and 6-7 hours northwest of Boise.
Connecting flights are available directly into Lewiston, Idaho, just
across the Snake River from Clarkston.
THE RIVERS
The rivers of Idaho are widely used for irrigation and
hydroelectric power production, especially in the south. However, the
Snake River is used for navigation as far upstream as Lewiston. Major road
and railroad routes follow the principal valleys, although canyons along
the Snake, Salmon, and other rivers pose major problems for road builders.
The deepest gorge is the Grand Canyon of the Snake River, also called
Hells Canyon, Seven Devils Canyon, or the Snake River Canyon. The canyon,
the deepest in the United States, has a maximum depth of 2,400 m (about
7,900 ft). The river at the point it leaves the state is the lowest point
in Idaho, at 216 m (710 ft) above sea level.
Snake, Clearwater and Grande ronde river fishing trips
depart from the Lewis-Clark Valley area. Columbia River trips depart from
Ringold, near Pasco, Washington. All trips are one day fishing trips with
lodging provided by area motels. We provide all bait and tackle. You will
need a valid state fishing license with appropriate tags. Food and drink
can be made available for an additional fee.

The
end is in sight. I have been running strong for most of the
season. I have been through many ups and downs with these slimy
buggers. Lately recent warm water releases from
Dworshak dam have triggered fresh pushes
of fish. This year has been such a cold year the migration of the
fish has been slow so It looks like I
will have great fishing until spring run off starts. On a recent
trip I fished with Dennis Erickson (head coach SF 49ers) his
coaching staff and a few other buddys.
We had a great time and it looks like I might take some time off
next year for a niner game!!
Fresh bait means
fresh fish!!
